Marine Corps!!
--
While serving in the Marines, my occupation was as an all source fusion intelligence analyst. My function was to support decision making during the planning process by reducing commander's uncertainty of the battlespace. From Japan to Afghanistan, from a ground unit to an air unit, I was involved in intelligence preparation of the battlespace to aid in maintaining situational awareness and aid in the Marine Corps Planning Process. How to develop software for the purpose of aiding decision making is something I find interesting. There were tools we had available that we found impressive, especially where they had a consumer and agile mindset, and I'm attracted to positions that have that type of focus. As a Marine I was trained, and saw first hand, some of the best small unit leadership qualities related to personal acountability and delegated authority that I hope to carry with me and live up to as a member of a team or if I have the opportunity to lead one.
